Our current research process uses manufacturer documentation and product listings to check specifications and compatibility. Manufacturer claims and third-party findings should be attributed to their sources, rather than presented as our own measurements.

- Use primary sources: Consult manufacturer product pages and manuals for specifications, compatibility, and care instructions.
- Separate evidence from judgment: Identify manufacturer claims and credited third-party findings. Do not present them as our own test results.
- Explain trade-offs: Compare the features and constraints that affect the buying decision, and make assumptions in cost examples explicit.
- Correct uncertainty: Flag missing or conflicting information and update errors when supporting evidence is available.
