Our editorial standard is to help readers make a product choice using identifiable sources, clear comparisons, and honest limits. These guidelines describe the standard for our current work; they are not a claim that every older article has already been audited.
Sources and accuracy
We use manufacturer documentation and exact US listings to check model identity and product specifications. We distinguish published facts from advertised performance, editorial interpretation, and assumptions used in calculations. When sources conflict, we explain the disagreement or avoid a recommendation that depends on resolving it.
Research-based guides must not imply that we operated, measured, or stress-tested the products. We do not invent ownership histories, test results, review counts, laboratory facilities, or time spent evaluating a product. Our research methodology explains the current process.
Recommendations and commercial relationships
As an Amazon Associate, TheHomePicker earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links support the site and create a financial interest in purchases made through those links. We disclose that relationship so readers can take it into account.
Recommendations should explain who a product suits, who should consider an alternative, and what remains uncertain. An affiliate link, brand name, or higher price is not a substitute for that reasoning. Advertised capacity is not the same as measured performance under a reader’s conditions.
Review before publication
Our current workflow checks source support, model identity, article intent, link destinations, and the absence of invented testing claims. We are reviewing older content for unsupported claims and outdated information. We do not promise that all articles have been checked on a fixed schedule or that an update to these guidelines certifies the entire archive.
Images and feedback
Product illustrations should accurately identify what they depict. Manufacturer images are not evidence of our ownership or testing. Images or diagrams must not imply measurements or experiences we did not carry out.
